"Usher" recently won "Best Lead Actor" honors in the first annual Cinema Edge Awards, put on by Sub Rosa Studios (distributors of the recent Jess Franco straight-to-video films) and WickedPixel.com, a micro-budget genre/indie film site.

Thomas Alexander deserves all our thanks, for delivering a subtle yet powerful performance that continues to be recognized.

"Usher" just missed winning the grand prize of "Best Feature/Best Director" to Justin Hennard's stylish science-fiction feature "Moonlight by the Sea." We're sorry since the grand prize comes with a distribution deal through Sub Rosa! Congrats, Justin.

"Moonlight by the Sea" is also getting very positive buzz in the festival circuit. It's also a small and very stylish genre film, and I look forward to seeing it.
